AC 202 - Principles of Accounting II
Continuation of AC 201 with an emphasis on managerial uses of cost information for planning and controlling a business.
Prerequisite: AC 201 or equivalent. 3:0:3

Join me, Becky Tallman, Senior Business Instructor as I share motivating accounting techniques to enhance your business and management accounting skills.  Come learn key strategies for creating and sustaining a successful business. I will introduce new accounting concepts and terms that will help you grow good business sense and develop individually as an authentic business leader. This course is the “key” to understanding how a business successfully operates. I plan to discuss tips for running a small business as well as how to understand and interpret financial statements for large corporations.  In this 8 week course we will set up and run a small business which will fund an end of course class pot luck dinner.  Reserve your spot now as the class will fill fast. CS 219 - Programming Fundamentals
This course continues the development of the programming and problem solving skills introduced in CS 151. Programming concepts will be put into practice by using Java for programming projects. Students will learn about object-oriented programming and two of its key components - inheritance and polymorphism. Additionally, students will learn about these topics: graphical user interface components, event-driven programming, exception handling, files.
Prerequisites: Any math course ≥ MA 131, a grade of 'C' or better in CS 151.
Suggested prerequisite: CS 140. 3:0:3

If you have taken CS 151, and need credit for CS 219, you may wish to take this face-to-face programming class. Some students find on-line programming courses rather more difficult than on-campus classes. Please join our class if you feel that way, and receive individual attention as needed. CS 219 is "the other half" of the Java programming offered by Park. It can fulfill a language requirement for some majors (check with the Park/Fairchild office for details).

EC 141 - Principles of Economics I (Macro)
A study of the contemporary American economy; the role of investment, consumption, and government on income determination; and an analysis of the foreign sector. Emphasis is on contemporary problems: unemployment, inflation, and growth. 3:0:3

MA 105 - Introduction to College Mathematics
The course objective is to improve basic mathematical skills through a systematic application of these skills to contemporary problems. Topics considered include various applications from consumer mathematics, tables and graphs, systems of measure. Students who have successfully completed MA 106 may not enroll in this course.

Yes we start with addition and subtraction and in 8 weeks you will be confidently working on the basics of algebra. Fundamental questions about religion are considered. Does God exist? If so, what is God's nature? of what significance is mysticism? what happens (if anything) at death? 3:0:3

Who is this “God” that everyone is talking about? Is there any such being? Why would anyone think so? Do we human beings have souls? What is a soul, anyway? What happens to us when we die?
