I'm also adding some band-organ mp3's of my own using the Grand Band-Organ.

Here are some more Grand Band-Organ mp3's.  They are all from the excellent web pages of Edonmusic and Eugene Hayek:

Since my Band-Organ files are still often being downloaded after more than a year has passed, I think it's time to begin adding more. This time, however, I'm using the big Grand Band-Organ which is related to the Le Grand classical organ. I think these tunes sound better than the usual General Midi versions since Hauptwerk plays many more voices in full stereo. As usual, I recommend listening with a pair of really good headphones.

All the midi files for these tunes (9-25-2005) were found on a website run by Dudley Delany (dudleydelany@yahoo.com). The site's address is: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/carouselmusic/

It appears that all of these midi files originated from the Edonmusic website run by Eugene Hayek (as did a number of midi files for my small Band-Organ).  The address is: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Chamber/2175/page2.html

My small Hauptwerk Band-Organ begins with many of the same stops as the classical organ.  I have added other sounds to allow the playing of band-organ and non classical type music.

Drums and other percussion sounds were added.  Stops such as bells, xylophone, and a few synth stops were added.  Altogether, there are five manuals plus pedals, each with their own expression pedal.  This allows a lot of versatility in "orchestrating" music.

As with the classical organ, I can record CD quality music with this Cakewalk - Hauptwerk combination.

As an experiment, a few tunes were recorded using the small Band-Organ coupled with the Edirol Virtual Sound Canvas.  The Sound Canvas provided variable velocity and pitch change, which Hauptwerk cannot.  The result is quite satisfying.  I don't record this way often, however, since it involves creating both wave files separately and then combining them -- a fairly complicated process.
