| I taught a class called Creative
Expressions at Keithley Middle School during the 1990's. The
class was an elective designed to stimulate my students' creativity
and imagination. They could express their ideas in writing,
poetry, music, and/or art, etc. To be part of all this, I
prepared a MemBook (memory book) featuring crazy fictional stories
which I made up about all the students in each class. I
introduced most MemBooks with the words: "A publication stemming from
the mind of the Legendary Mr. Christopherson in an effort to always
remember all of his excellent students." These are the
stories: All Stories and Text ©2004 Leo Christopherson |

1991 This story was written after I read a few books by TEILHARD DE CHARDIN, 1881 - 1955. I found his ideas very interesting. I actually sent the short story to a well respected sci-fi magazine. Their reply was that it was well written and they liked it, but it was over the heads of their readers. They encouraged me to try again, but I never got around to submitting any other of my stories. To appreciate what the story is really all about, one should check out De Chardin's philosophy on the web.

Fall 1993 The goal of the stories in
this MemBook is to provide a glimpse into the possible future
careers of my students. |

Winter 1993-4 The goal of the stories in
this MemBook is to provide a glimpse into the possible future
careers of my students. |
|
Spring 1994 This MemBook
also predicts the future careers of my wondrous students. For this
issue, I had just started using Adobe PageMaker, but had not gotten
the "goo" program yet. |
|
Fall 1994 This MemBook deals with
poems about my students' interests. Along with straight
photos, it features student photos which have been run
through the program "Super Goo." Click on each
page to expand it for viewing and use the browser's back arrow to go

Winter 1994-5 This MemBook
is a rather elaborate one. I imagined what sort of vehicle each
student would design and used PageMaker to illustrate that. The I
also made a Treasure Book out of this issue. Students needed to
solve a series of puzzles to win a prize. Unfortunately, I have lost
the answer key to the puzzles. If I find it I'll add it to the
issue's pages. |
|
This MemBook
is another elaborate one. It's full of mystery and puzzles.
I do still have the answer sheet for these puzzles and have included
it. |
|
Fall 1995 This MemBook deals with some
updated versions of Aesop's Fables. Along with straight
photos, it features student photos which have been run
through the program "Super Goo." |
|
Winter 1995-6 This MemBook deals with
wondrous building projects done by this group of students. |

some of the most unique airplane designs ever conceived by the mind
of man---or Middle School student, in this case. |
|
Fall 1996 This MemBook deals with
a Coloring Contest for my students. Students were able to win
$5.00 for winning the contest. Along with straight

through the program "Super Goo." Click on each page
to expand it for viewing and use the browser's back arrow to go back
to thumbnail view. |
